A Night with The General
Hello LifeStylers,
It’s Restaurant Week here in New York City and I plan on bringing you some of the best dining experiences there are to offer.
The General NYC
Giving us the best once again, Top Chef winner Hung Huynh is serving up a delicious menu of modern Asian delights. The big apple welcomes it’s newest hot spot, The General. Located in LES ( Lower East Side) at 199 Bowery, it’s vibrant ambiance, elegant but energetic, will put you in the mood to order one of their many sexy cocktails as soon as you’re seated at your table. Lady With A Dagger is my favorite drink- Absolut, Lychee, Passion Fruit, Thai Basil all in one and it’s so refreshing. A must try appetizer is the Philly Pepper steak Stickybuns. They are stuffed with braised short rib, caramelized onion and provolone, a burst of flavor!
If you like Peking Duck there’s no way you can resist this taste bud popper.
And as far as desserts go, the Chocolate Trifle made my entire night. Life really began after I broke into the liquid klondike sitting over a devils food brownie that was accompanied by five spice ice cream. YUMMMS
After you eat just follow the fancy crowd through a secret passage way to the 6,000 square foot ultra-luxe nightclub, Finale. This music house just opened in November 2012 and it’s a true Euro experience.
